Archbishop Curley High School issued the following announcement on Feb. 26.

More progress was made this week in Electrical Vehicle Engineering Class. After the front and back brake pedals had been fully installed, the students used an air compressor to finish the process of vacuum bleeding the brake lines. Vacuum bleeding was the final step in making the brakes on the vehicle fully functional.

Battery balancing is a long, continuous process, and after over 20 hours of balancing the voltages, the batteries are very close to being completely vehicle ready. The students also started a new project, the control box, which will be the center of all the wiring and electrical components of the vehicle.
