On Saturday, March 22, former McDonogh School standout Ava McKennie’s current collegiate team the Maryland Terrapins won 82-69 against the Norfolk State Spartans in the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship Tournament.
Hosted in Xfinity Center, this was the first game against the Norfolk State Spartans during the championship.
The Maryland Terrapins’ next game will take place on Monday, March 24 at 4 p.m. in Xfinity Center against Alabama Crimson Tide.
Ava McKennie’s hometown is McSherrystown and game positions are forward and guard.
