ABC7 reports ‘Nobody in here’: Local businesses near Purple Line Construction are suffering! Small business owners in the path of the Purple Line construction say business has dropped between 30 and 70 percent in the last year. On Saturday, February 22, Mayor Stewart, Councilmember Talisha Searcy, Councilmember Kacy Kostiuk and Takoma Langley Crossroads will tour small businesses in the Langley Park area with the goal of bringing attention to the issue and encouraging locals to shop there despite the construction headaches.
