Baltimore County, Maryland issued the following announcement on June 16.
County Executive Don Mohler, Councilwoman Vicki Almond and Baltimore County Department of Health and Human Services Director Dr. Gregory Wm. Branch announced a new partnership with Baltimore County’s hospitals as a part of the Five Point Plan to fight #Opioid addiction. The County will provide the overdose reversal drug #Naloxone to addiction peer support counselors so that overdose patients and their families have access to this life-saving medicine when they go home from the hospital.
The participating hospitals include:
- Northwest Hospital, a LifeBridge Health Center
- MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center
- University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center
- GBMC - Greater Baltimore Medical Center
