BALTIMORE COUNTY GOVERNMENT: Public Adivosry, shifting to separate social media accounts

Baltimore County Government issued the following announcement on Aug. 15.

Please be advised that Baltimore County’s Police and Fire Departments are now shifting to separate social media accounts to facilitate enhanced digital communications with stakeholders. Please make note of the following (complete changes will be effective as of September 16):

Facebook

Official Baltimore County Police & Fire’s Facebook page is being rebranded as the Baltimore County Fire Department's Facebook account. Please keep following this page for official Fire & EMS news. For updates and information regarding police news and events, please follow Baltimore County Police Department.

Twitter

The Fire Department’s Twitter handle is: @BaltCoFire https://twitter.com/BaltCoFire.

The Police Department’s Twitter page is: @BaltCoPolice https://twitter.com/BaltCoPolice.

The handle for Baltimore County Emergency Management (@BACOEmergency) has changed and this handle is no longer being used to communicate updates. Please follow the new handle, @BaltCoEmergency https://twitter.com/BaltCoEmergency, for weather and community emergency information.

The Fire and Police Departments will also maintain separate YouTube channels and Instagram accounts.
