CITY OF GAITHERSBURG: Gaithersburg Chorus Performs “Make a Joyful Noise” Winter Concert Performances on December 3 & 6

City of Gaithersburg issued the following announcement on Nov. 14.

The Gaithersburg Chorus presents its winter concert, “Make a Joyful Noise,” featuring holiday music selections that include "Patapan," "The Angels' Carol," "Blue Skies," and a commissioned piece, "Let Us Be Merry." Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3 at the Rosborough Theatre at Asbury Methodist Village, 301 Odend’hal Avenue, and on Friday, December 6 at Gaithersburg Presbyterian Church, 610 South Frederick Avenue. The Gaithersburg Chorus is directed by Daniel Hopkins. Accompaniment for these concerts is provided by Refiye Tappan. Admission is free, and donations are gratefully accepted. All ages are welcome. The Gaithersburg Chorus requires no audition to join and is open to anyone 16 years and older. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. September through May. Formal weekly rehearsals for the winter/spring session begin Tuesday, January 7, 2020. There is a registration fee to join; financial aid is available.
