City of Rockville issued the following announcement on Dec. 18.
Montgomery County’s Office of Community Partnerships is recruiting ambassadors to help ensure everyone in the county is counted for the 2020 Census.
Ambassadors are volunteers trained by the Office of Community Partnerships and Census Bureau who conduct education and outreach by hosting information tables, distributing promotional materials and engaging with county residents. Multilingual members of the community are especially encouraged to apply.
Ambassadors will receive orientation and Census training through the Office of Community Partnerships and the U.S. Census Bureau.
Training opportunities are available at Rockville Memorial Library (in the first-floor meeting room), 21 Maryland Ave. The sessions will be held from 7-8:30 p.m.:
• Thursday, Dec. 19.
• Tuesday, Jan. 7.
• Wednesday, Jan. 22.
• Tuesday, Feb. 4.
• Tuesday, March 3.
