Glyndon Volunteer Fire Department issued the following announcement on Aug. 30.
There are over 1 million electric vehicles (EVs) on the road in the United States and President Biden's executive order, calling for the federal government to try to ensure that half of all vehicles sold in the United states be electric by 2030, ensures that number will increase significantly in the coming years. We thought we would post some EV home charging safety tips as sales of the vehicles increases. Please feel free to download & print the picture. If you have questions reach out to your manufacturer for the specific requirements your charging system needs.
Charging an EV is safe when done with certified equipment. By following these tips, you can lower their risk of having an associated fire or an electric shock injury.
