Baltimore County Health Department issued the following announcement on Sep. 21.
September is National Suicide Prevention Month. We are raising awareness in an effort to save lives and bring hope to those who have been affected by suicide. Suicide remains one of the leading causes of death in the United States. And it is the second leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 10 to 34. In Baltimore County, we recognize suicide as a preventable public health problem. Remember in Baltimore County, you are not alone. We are here to help.
