Baltimore County Health Department recently issued the following announcement.
Let’s Talk About Monkeypox: This virus spreads through close or intimate contact. Symptoms include a rash and fever. It is much less transmissible than fast-spreading respiratory diseases like COVID-19, and this outbreak has not caused any deaths in the United States.
If you have symptoms of monkeypox, contact your healthcare provider. People without a healthcare provider or insurance should visit health.maryland.gov/CSTIP/local to get contact information for their local health department.
