Baltimore County Health Department issued the following announcement on Jan. 01.
January is National Radon Action Month! Radon is an invisible, odorless radioactive gas that can seep into buildings and get into your homes. Some parts of Maryland have soil that makes radon presence more likely.
Exposure to this gas creates a greater risk of lung cancer, so keep you and your family safe by testing your home for radon! To learn more, visit www.epa.gov/radon.
