BALTIMORE, MD. - On July 9, Mayor Brandon M. Scott, the Office of Emergency Management, Baltimore City Fire Department, and all Baltimore City government offices and agencies are urging Baltimore residents to be weather aware and take necessary safety precautions due to the Severe Thunderstorm Watch and Flood Watch issued by the National Weather Service (NWS).

The anticipated storm has the potential to cause flooding, power outages, and downed trees. Residents are encouraged to stay safe and prepared by seeking shelter if necessary, avoid driving through any standing or moving water, and to be mindful of parking in low-lying areas prone to flooding.

If residents are in an emergency situation, call 911 immediately. If you would like to report flooding or damage related to today's severe weather, contact 311 either by calling or through the 311 mobile app.
