5.3% of citizens unemployed in Baltimore County in 2021

Baltimore County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.3% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 24,236 people out of the 850,702 living in Baltimore County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Baltimore County has increased compared to the 5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Baltimore County was nearly equal to the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 430,001 people who had a job during that time, 742 were employed in the Armed Forces and 429,259 belonged to the civilian labor force.
