Former Eastern Technical High School standout Sydney Weaver played on Friday, May 9 in hopes of reaching the NCAA Division II Softball Championship

On Friday, May 9, former Eastern Technical High School standout Sydney Weaver’s current collegiate team the Francis Marion Patriots won 4-0 against the Wingate Bulldogs in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship.

The game took place at FMU Softball Stadium at 1 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Wingate Bulldogs in the tournament.

The Francis Marion Patriots’ next game will take place on Saturday, May 10 at 1 p.m. at FMU Softball Stadium.
