Towson’s Liam Diehl takes the mound March 7 against Monmouth in Division I contest

Former Hereford High School star Liam Diehl, now pitching for Towson University, made an appearance as the Tigers were defeated 4-1 by the Monmouth Hawks in their NCAA Division I matchup Saturday, March 7, at 2 p.m.

John B. Schuerholz Baseball Complex hosted the contest. It marked the Tigers’ second game against Monmouth this season; the Tigers dropped their previous contest to the Hawks 12-5 on Friday, March 6.

Diehl pitched five innings, allowing two earned runs, issuing two walks, and striking out five.

The Tigers are set to play the Monmouth Hawks again Sunday, March 8, at 1 p.m. at John B. Schuerholz Baseball Complex.
