Stevenson University issued the following announcement on Jan. 28.
Meet Akeweh Fondong, '19. The senior biology student has unquestionably made the most of his Stevenson education. During Winterim 2018, Akeweh was one of 23 students and four faculty members who traveled to Ecuador. There, he studied herbal medicines and remedies, visiting the Ecuadorian Amazon as part of his travel course experience. His photo, “Enjoying Nature and the Beautiful Weather” (shown on the left), taken on the Tiputini River, won the university’s 2018 Travel and Culture photo and video contest.
