BALTIMORE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS: BCPS recruiting temporary additional assistants to support students with moderate to severe disabilities

Baltimore County Public Schools issued the following announcement on June 18.

Recruitment event on July 10 at Ridge Ruxton School

What: Baltimore County Public Schools is hosting a recruitment event for individuals interested in temporary positions as additional assistants. The role of an additional assistant is to provide support and assistance to individual students with moderate to severe disabilities to enable the students to more fully participate in the school environment. Additional assistants work under the direct supervision of special educators, who are the case managers for students with an Individualized Education Program. Interested individuals should visit the BCPS job board and apply for the position before the recruitment event. Preferred minimum qualifications for the position are a high school diploma or appropriate equivalent, and experience working with individuals with disabilities.

When: Wednesday, July 10, from 2 – 4 p.m.

•Visit the BCPS job board.

•Click on the job category on the left hand side of the screen.

•Click on category “Sub and Temp Positions – Temporary."

•Select Job ID for the additional assistant position.

•Read the complete job description, and then click “apply" in the upper right-hand corner.

•Follow the instructions to create an online application.

•“Submit" the application.
