Cost of college went up for all students at Stevenson University

Tuition and fees rose 2.1 percent for 2018-19 at Stevenson University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Maryland students paid $36,242 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $752 more than the $35,490 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 98 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 672 students received grants or scholarships totaling $15.7 million and 419 students took out student loans totaling more than $3.7 million.

Including all undergraduates (3,615), 2,910 students used grants or scholarships totaling $58.2 million, and 2,055 students took out $15.1 million in federal student loans.
