Carol Manor Elementary School issued the following announcement on Aug. 21.
During the first few weeks of school, there are typically some transportation “kinks” that need to get ironed out, so we appreciate your patience. Please be at your bus stop 5-10 minutes ahead of your pick up time.
Bus riders will enter the building between 8:30 am and 8:45 am through the main front doors. Buses typically load up to 15 minutes after the 3:30 p.m. dismissal bell. Please be at your bus stop 5-10 minutes ahead of your drop off time in the afternoon – students as young as Kindergarten can be dropped at a bus stop even if there is no adult present.
When there is a substitute driver, pick up/drop off times can vary, so please wait at the stop for several minutes before and after your pick up and drop off time. If your bus does not arrive in a reasonable amount of time, please call the school office so that we can investigate. Students will not be permitted to ride a bus other than their assigned bus.
If you have questions or concerns, please email Susan Hardesty at shardesty@bcps.org. Routes, times, and stops are handled by the Office of Transportation, not at the school level. We will forward your concern to the Office of Transportation if we cannot address it.
