ARCHBISHOP CURLEY HIGH SCHOOL: The EV Engineering students have made quite a bit of progress since the last update

Engineeringstudent1

Archbishop Curley High School issued the following announcement on Mar. 14.

The EV Engineering students have made quite a bit of progress since the last update. The students continued to use a vacuum brake bleeder to ensure that there is not any air in the brake lines.

The back brakes were prioritized first so that work could start on installing the motor. Throughout the week, the groups on the electrical system worked on - and finished - assembling the low-voltage panel and dashboard and began work on building the control box.

Lastly, the students started to prepare the motor for installation and attached the non-drive-side plate to the motor.

The electrical system issues were resolved during a few class periods. The students and Mrs. Hernandez are still working on troubleshooting the motor issue, as it is partially fixed.
