Situated on 211 acres, Irvine is home to a wide variety of Animal Ambassadors who help children learn about different habits, the importance of conservation and the impact of development on native animal species.
The County Executive was invited to say a few words at his retirement party last week, where former and current colleagues gathered to share their admiration and respect for Stan. The newsroom was packed with attendees who shared memories, funny stories and notable experiences with their friend – there were definitely a few tears.
Seeing stray, abandoned, abused/neglected and surrendered pets who have done nothing to deserve this fate cannot be easy, but the team powers through and continues to make a difference in the lives of our furry, feathered and scaly residents every day.
